Headwall Roof Flashing
- 6x6 Metal Head Wall flashing installed at all joints in the roof where a vertical surface meets the rooftop.
- Anytime there is a splice in the metal head wall flashing its necessary to add 2 beads of roofing cement at overlap. Minimum overlap is 6" inches.
- When house wrap is used it should be countered over all flashing.
- Flashing should occur where roof trusses/roof frame meets the sloped roof plane (this includes on the ends of Dutch gables and where dormer roofs connect).
- Tape top of flashing to the wall.
- Self adhered flashing must go up chimney walls 4"
