Drip Edge
- 2x2 metal drip edge is properly installed with no pieces missing or bent. See Valley Flashing & Drip Edge Diagram
- Drip edge should NOT be nailed with plastic nails. a standard roof composition nail should be used.
- Pieces overlap towards the back of the home so the seam is less visible from the frontInstalled before felt.
- Installed with no small pieces (12” or less) near the bend (gables, corners, entryway, etc.)
- The drip edge should wrap every bird box.
- Drip edge is cut and folded to not have a hole on the outside corners.
- Drip edge must be nailed at least every 12" per code and overlap at least 2"
- When drip edge on a rake meets the center of valley, drip edge must be stripped off with self adhered.
