- Ensure that notch is cut into the roof band for masonry.
- The notch should NOT go through the decking, as this eliminates a surface for flashing to be installed on.
- Roof truss under masonry should have (2) scab boards installed to support the brick load.
- The scab should be nailed together with pairs of nails spaced 3”.
